To Bloggers & Readers

UPDATED: So, my usual pleasant Sunday morning has been interrupted by a kinda rude message I received this morning from another blogger, asking me to stop stealing her sites pics….

The funny, yet strange thing about this request is that, I have noticed that on most blogs, we all use the same celebrity pictures! I’m sure a lot of you reading this aware of this fact.

I get my pics from TWO main sources, two sites that offer nothing but FREE pics of celebs taken at various recent events. I figured that most bloggers use these two sites as well, as I see the same celeb pics on most all the popular gossip sites.

So, the blogger who contacted me thinks that I’ve been stealing pics from her site on a daily basis. I find this soooo offensive……. because like I said, I get my pics from two main sources and honestly, I figured this blogger did too as I see the same pics on her sites.

She also claims that she counted at least 10 other pics on my site that she thinks I STOLE from hers…..wow….seriously.…STOLE is such a harsh word…..an unfortunate word……considering that a lot of the posts on her sites, I see on at least 4-5 other sites. I am aware of those sites that post exclusive material, I always source where I should be.

I not only work for a very popular entertainment magazine that gives me access to current celeb pics, I also, again, get my pics from my two main FREE photo sites…..sorry babe, I am not spending hours on your site stealing your shit….if the sites I use to get pics from are posting illegally, that’s not my problem, I don’t run those sites. I simply subscribe to the services they offer in order to use their pics.

Sure, I read this blogger’s sites on a daily basis because I love them…..they are great sites…..but I am not stealing her pics. I want to make something clear, If I find the same pics on several blogs, and I also find these same pics through my sources, I’m using the pics. Honestly, what’s the big deal in that?

I will admit, if I see a cool pic on someone’s blog, a pic that i think is exclusive, if I use it, I source it, if I find it posted on one of the two main photo agencies that I use, which almost always happens, I use it.

If I do use another site’s pics and/or information, I ALWAYS give them credit….ALWAYS. I am not Perez Hilton…I don’t steal and claim it to be mine. So, I’m offended that this blogger thinks I’m stealing from her sites….. like I said, I see the same stuff her on sites, on other blogs…so, I kinda don’t get what the big deal is, really.

My guess is, its a paparazzi/photo agency that runs the sites I use to retrieve some of my pics from…whoever they are, I thank them cause they offer a free service of current celeb pics. I use them for my site and clearly other bloggers use them to. I don’t understand why bloggers pay for pics when there are a couple of really cool sites out there that offer all the same damn pics for free!! How can you steal free shit? However, if the sites I use to retrieve my pics from are posting illegally, well, how am I to know that? How is that my fault or problem?

So, this post is for any blogger that reads my site and thinks that I am stealing from yours….get over yourself. This is just a fuckin’ gossip blog….not the recipe for ending world hunger or curing AIDS.

I spend A LOT of time surfing the net….and it would seem that we’re all stealing from each other….I see the same posts and same damn pics or almost every god damn blog….

So, as a result of this, I guess I can no longer visit the sites of the ridiculous blogger that contacted me. Since she feels that I am stealing from her, I will simply no longer visit her sites. I can’t risk her continuing to think that I am stealing from her. Since afterall, her precious blogs are the Bible of the fuckin’ Internet.
