The Saint Visits Baghdad
UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, Angelina Jolie, visited Baghdad today to speak out for aid on behalf the millions of Iraqis displaced within their own country and the 1.5 million more Iraqis displaced out of the country.
In the photo above, The Saint listens to an displaced Iraqi mother at her home in a makeshift camp northwest of Baghdad.
Despite the difficulties in Iraq, Jolie said this was a moment of opportunity for Iraqis to rebuild their lives. “This is a moment where things seem to be improving on the ground, but Iraqis need a lot of support and help to rebuild their lives.”
