HIV Breakthrough As Stars Celebrate
LaToya Jackson and Sharon Stone attended the Macy’s Passport Fashion Show gala on Sept. 24, in Santa Monica, Ca.
The gala is the nation’s premiere HIV fundraiser, hosted by the legendary Elizabeth Taylor.
“I did just want to say one thing: As my beloved friend Michael said, ‘We are the world,’” said Liz Taylor. “And it is up to us, it’s our responsibility to take care of those who are sick and dying.”
“You have to continue, and I think a good way to continue on my behalf is giving to one of the charities that Michael gave to,” said La Toya. “And he gave so dearly and wonderfully to AIDS Project L.A., and I want to continue that.”
