Are You Jonesing For New Celie?
Celie’s been in the studio lately working’ on her forthcoming album, “The Wait is Ova,” which she says will drop November 23rd, and Justin Timberlake, who is one of several musicians contributing on the album, spoke to MTV News Saturday at the second annual Justin Timberlake & Friends Concert in Las Vegas, about his new songs with Celie, sayin’ that they are not just a rehash of what fans heard on Good Girl Gone Bad, but instead a whole new sound for the singer.
“I think she’s got, like, a million people writing songs for her, but the ones that we worked on she’s grown up a little bit and she has things that she can say. So that’s what we tried to do — craft things that are that of a young woman.”
“She broke onto the scene so hard with the last record — to have that many songs on the charts is impressive. I think that the smartest thing she’s doing is not trying to emulate what she did but move forward … I’ve heard some of the stuff on the record and it’s awesome.”
According to her web site, which now features a countdown clock, something big is going to about to happen on October 20 at 11:23 a.m. – I hope the something big is a new fuckin’ hairstyle!!
