BlackFace Too Complex For The UK
In a move that I can only refer to as TYPICAL, Universal Pictures revamped the UK version of the poster for Couples Retreat by excluding the stereotypical, token black couple from the American poster. You can kinda see them all the way in the back of the poster above.
Now check out the UK poster below.
Word on the Skeet is that Universal wanted to simplify the crowded poster. So rather than get rid of one of the white couples, the darkies had to go. Typical. The Anti~Color Cult scores one for the team yet again.
However, I guess one could analyze these posters and conclude that the black actors aren’t as well known to the Europeans so excluding them from the marketing is logical.
It’s also very logical for members of the Niggaratti (we’re not the target audience anyway) to avoid this movie like it’s a WIC voucher. Don’t insult your awareness by allowing The ACC to mock you on celluloid. While the studio and target audience may be in denial about this, Niggaratti members know that Vince Vaughn hasn’t been funny since we saw him doing the Drunk Crackhead Stumble out of the Dresden Room in Silver Lake a couple years ago. <— True Story, and his best work so far.
