Tarantino’s Next Movie May Be About Slavery
Kudos to Tarantino for understanding how black folks win awards in Hollywood, they either gotta play slaves, niggas (Denzel Washington) or get raped by Billy Bob Thorton (Halle Berry), so it should come as no shock to know that QT may follow-up his 8 Oscar nominated masterpiece, Inglourious Basterds, with a movie about slavery!! Yes!! I was hoping to sit at the dinner table with a couple of Toby’s and Mammies this year! Tell Massa not to forget to bring the whip and hog scraps!!
“I’d like to do a Western. But rather than set it in Texas, have it in slavery times. With that subject that everybody is afraid to deal with. Let’s shine that light on ourselves. You could do a ponderous history lesson of slaves escaping on the Underground Railroad. Or, you could make a movie that would be exciting. Do it as an adventure. A spaghetti Western that takes place during that time. And I would call it ‘A Southern.’”
