Lopez Dropped: Our Ears Can Stop Bleeding Now

Word on the Skeet is that Jennifer Lopez has been dropped from her sony music label, others insist that since her contract has ended and Lopez has fulfilled her contracutal agreements, it was Lopez who decided not to continue her relationship with Sony.

Blogger Nikki Finke claims that there is also a disagreement on how finished her upcoming album was before it was canceled. Lopez insiders claim the album was “by no means done” and everyone was “only a few songs into it” and “unlike movie dates, street dates rarely hold in the music biz”.

Others sources claim the album isn’t being released because the single Louboutins bombed, as did her performance at the American Music Awards, and Sony Music execs “aren’t sure who her audience is anymore. Where once she had little girls, she’s been supplanted by Beyonce, Gaga, and Rhianna.”

After watching the clip above of Lopez painfully lip~syncing her performance at the SanRemo Festival in Italy recently, it clealry indicates that her audience is the Deaf so she should definitely hang up her singing career, unless miming is the new Black.

JLo.’s manager, Benny Medina, emailed DHD.com the following: “Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction her career as an actress and recording artist. She is grateful and appreciative to everyone Sony for all that they accomplished together.”

Supposedly, Lopez is already in talks with Island Def Jam’s L.A. Reid to come to his label.

As far as her film career, CBS Films recently announced it’s postponing the release of her romantic comedy, The Back Up Plan, to April 23rd, same weekend as Wall Street 2.

Meanwhile, JLo is scheduled as both the musical guest and the host of Saturday Night Live next weekend.
