Angela Bassett Joins Green Lantern
Let’s bow our heads and give thanks to whatever God you serve for keeping Angela Bassett employed. We love her.
Bassett will play scientist Dr. Amanda Waller in the highly anticipated Green Lantern film. Highly anticipated: “They” always use that phrase to describe summer blockbusters. Honestly, I’m not highly anticipating this movie, but I know a lot of horny boys and their cougars are. However, because Angela is in it, I’ll be sure not to miss when it debuts on the Starz/Encore channel.
Bassett joins a cast that includes Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Tim Robbins and Mark Strong.
Martin Campbell is directing the film, which is currently shooting in New Orleans.
Green Lantern is set for a June 17, 2011 release.
