Dear Hollywood, “NO” to “Evil Dead” Remake
Golly-jizz, I hope this isn’t true.
Sam Raimi is reportedly considering producing a remake of his classic 1981 horror film The Evil Dead.
Raimi’s business and producing partner Rob Tapert recently spoke to the Detroit Free Press about returning to the franchise. Tapert said:
“It’s possible – we’re looking at a script this month.” He added: “What’s interesting about The Evil Dead is very few people saw it in the format we made it for, which is for the theatre. I think Sam wants to embrace the ultimate experience in gruelling terror and see it remade for a proper theatrical experience.”
I’m certain they’ll remake this in 3D.
