Hopkins Will Play Hitchcock
Anthony Hopkins is in talks to play Alfred Hitchcock in Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, based on an adaptation of the Stephen Rebello non-fiction book.
The book was published in 1998 and tracks how Hitchcock struggled to raise financing for the classic horror, which became one of his biggest hits and one of the most influential films of all time. At the center of the script is the relationship between Hitchcock and his wife Alma Reville.
Anvil! The Story of Anvil director Sacha Gervasi is in talks to helm the project while the screenplay is being penned by Black Swan‘s John McLaughlin.
Anthony Hopkins can next be seen in The Rite, New Line’s supernatural thriller, which opens Jan. 28.
