New Music: M.I.A’s Tribute to Winehouse

I couldn’t be bothered posting the news of Amy Winehouse’s death when it happened because…well…I ToldJa so.

I received a text early Saturday morning alerting me to the tragic news of Amy’s death and I rolled over and went back to sleep. I’m not interrupting my wet dreams to report a death that was foreshadowed years ago.

Not to come off like a cold-cunt, but, who’s really shocked by this news? Those of us who are unplugged from the Matrix saw this coming when she told us “No, No, No, No” she’s not going to rehab.

People.com is reporting that Winehouse may have been dead for up to six hours before a security guard found her body in bed at around 4 p.m. London time on Saturday.

The latest inductee into Forever 27 Club had seen a doctor Friday night as part of a routine series of regular checkups, given her battle with addiction. The doctor saw nothing amiss.

The cause of death is not yet known; a toxicology report could take weeks to complete but police say there was no paraphernalia or sign of drugs in Winehouse’s Camden home.

I’m not convinced she died of on overdose or suicide as some reports claim. I simply think her Programmers realized she was worth more to them dead than alive so they took that bitch for a ride on the Freedom Train.

…or, perhaps the theory of her Stans is spot-on: that years of drug abuse finally caught-up with her…..Perhaps.

Less than 24 hours after her death, M.I.A has released an unfinished demo in Amy’s honor called 27, a track about losers and crackheads who die at the tender age of 27.

MIA posted a Tweet that read: “I recorded this song B4 vickileekx and never put it out. It’s a unfinished demo. R.I.P Amy.”

She also dedicated the song to to “all my friends who died at 27.”

Damn, these celebs STAY ready to drop a death track. First Minaj with her track for her cousin and now this from M.I.A…..

Have a listen to 27 via the player below.
