Material Girl is the clothing line Lourdes launched with her mother. I think the clothes target emo’s and girls with daddy issues.
A judge recently denied a request to throw out a legal case against Material Girl. Retailer LA Triumph sued the company last year, claiming it had been selling a range with the same name since 1997 and owned the trademark. However, Madonna’s lawyers argue that she is the “senior user” of the trademark, since she made it famous with her 1985 hit song. But a Federal judge disagrees and ordered that the dispute proceed to trial.
